"God said he was..."
If we say that God said our husband's were our "husband," then let's just be clear and understand that God doesn't lie nor renege (take back) His Word if it's something He said.
Thing is, flesh makes life hard to deal with - that's why we've been commanded to crucify it DAILY.
If your flesh is out of control, life is going to be frustrating, period and everything will look like it's out of order.
Everything will get on your nerves.
Everybody will get on your nerves.
The cat will get on your nerves.
The dog will get on your nerves.
The dishes will get on your nerves.
The radio will get on your nerves.
The sky will get on your nerves.
The flour sprinkles will get on your nerves.
If you're overly agitated, it's time to sit before God and deal with yourself. Patience is a fruit of the spirit and if you lack the fruit of the spirit, flesh is dominating.
• Every marriage isn't being destroyed by the dominance of the flesh - but not all marriages are ending due to a cheating/abusive spouse. . . . What does the Bible say:
》 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their corrupt nature along with its passions and desires. 》 Galatians 5:25
》 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 》 Galatians 5:19-21
》 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 》 Galatians 5:22-23
